Julie-Ann Bowden - Angel with Green Halo
March 30, 2009 by Dan · Leave a Comment
Julie-Ann Bowden’s Angel with Green Halo is typical of her iconic, naive style. The flat perspectives are deepened by the rich colours which suggest Russian and Byzantine iconography. Julie-ann’s Angel paintings come from a deep and genuine spirituality rarely seen in today’s more cynical art movements.

Jon’s work creates a narrative of dark places where rabid animals and threatening people emerge, all scratched into life in a complex process of etching and aquatint. The man with bullet holes in his back is an example of Jon’s disturbing, deeply human and evocative images; they are not gothic fantasies but come direct from Jon’s experience, vivid and mysterious.
Jon is a 27-year-old Londoner currently studying for his MA in Fine Art at the Royal College of Art. His prints are will make a fine investment for any art lover.
